I'm going to go in on Monday to get my levels checked. Do people usually take their meds before a blood draw, or do you wait til after?

I take my meds as usual before blood work. The med is suppose to balance or make up for what my body doesn't generate so I feel that by taking the med as usual lets them see if it is the correct dosage. JMO
Are you referring to your thyroid med?
Maybe you could call the lab or your Dr. office and ask.

Your not supposed to take your meds first. Thats why they do the test first thing in the morning so it shows what your lowest point is. I have tried cheating and not taken the previous days but it made no difference lol. Wait until after.0

my dr. has told me to take my meds as I normally do....If I'm suppose to be fastening, then no food...but I usually ask if I hould be fastening because I think it also depends on the blood work0
