Will it EVER happen for me?

I've been fighting since August of last year to get my meds straightened out, my levels are still high. After all this time, i'm still tsh 7 and my doctor told me I should be 2 at the highest. Not to mention my hypothyroidism went undiagnosed for about 4 years too, but that's another issue. I am starting to literally HATE seeing success stories on here and people talking about how much weight they're losing when they put in not even half the effort as I do. It really sucks.

Hi Amy,
Sorry for your frustration. Have you read stopthethyroidmadness? If you're fighting adrenal fatigue your TSH will never be right. Most Dr's don't know anything about adrenal fatigue, so you'll have to research on your own, or get a specialist. If your doctor is only testing your TSH then you're not being treated correctly.
I found this board very helpful in directing me to the research I needed to do, to get well. I'd strongly recommend you do some digging.
There are many tips on "diet" for the hypothyroid in the this forum, and on the web.
You always have people here who know what you're going through too. Somehow that helps!0 -
That can be so discouraging. Debbie's got some good advice. Getting your thyroid levels regulated should help. I've been stuck at the same weight for months and am now looking into adrenals with my doc. I would love to see the scale move down and not creep back up. Good luck!0

I've been on my meds since august 2011 and they can't seem to get them to the right dose. I'm doing everything right, taking them first thing in the morning, glass of water, not eating for over an hour after... I just don't get it.0
