    I have actually had people ask me, when I've told them of my atheism, "What keeps you from killiing people?" I have a few answers depending on my mood.

    "I like living in a civilized society, too."
    "Is the fear of hell the only thing that keeps YOU from killing people?"
    "What makes you think I don't?"
