So, what is everyone doing for exercise now that winter has bestowed it's presence on us? I tell you what, that is one area that I struggle with the most. Yes, I know I have access to the staff fitness center at work but it is really quite lame. The equipment is old and sometimes disfunctional, plus the ambiance is very 70's muscle head chic and smells like a tube sock from then too. There is a 24 hour fitness in Pine City and I have thought about getting a membership there; but then I think... will I really use it? I think the biggest factor is not having anyone to work out with. I just don't have that drive in me that says "you can do this on your own." I need some one to sweat it out with me. Robert is no help, his idea of a marathon is playing Final Fantasy on PS3 for 16 hours straight. So what to do? I think the only logical solution is for all you girls to come move in with me so we can exercise and eat rabbit food together :).

I guess I am lucky, I have exercise options at my fingertips I just have to make an effort to make it part of my day. I have been doing an hour of water aerobics everyday. I am going to amp it up and add other land activity to it. You could come here and workout with me! (Yeah right.) I need help with the food. I am just not motivated this time to meal plan. I go to the grocery store and I am just overwhelmed. I can't decide what I should buy and put together for meals and snacks. Oh well, I will figure it out some how.

I don't know why but I feel more structured on days I work so I do really well. But when I'm off it's like vacation days and I'm more relaxed. I've been trying to do some strength training at home but most days lack the motivation to do it. I did the Gobble Gallup on Thanksgiving and felt awesome afterwards. Well, sore but energized. I'm going to try to remember that feeling when I just want to be on Pinterest all day!

If we could just share with eachother the thing we are each good about doing we would be an unstoppable force! And with the holidays coming it's going to be even harder. Maybe I need to start small with exercise and set small daily goals for myself. Let's face it, even though I should I am not walking outside when it's cold out but maybe I can do some wii dance or set up a circuit in my basement. Any ideas?

You have tons of space in your basement for a circuit. That's a great idea. You could get some of those cheap foam/rubber mats that look like puzzle pieces for the floor to help your feet and knees. A lot of times you see them in kids play rooms or classrooms. You can find them at Menards or Home Depot.
  • I have been walking at least 30 minutes a day either after work or during my lunch breaks at work. I need to add something else every other day to help with toning and working on my core.
