Starting reset tomorrow

After reading the starter e-book, I realize that I am in need of a metabolic reset. This all makes so. much. sense. About 3 years ago, I decided to get healthy. I lost 60 lbs by cutting calories and starting exercise- mainly cardio. I plateaued at 60, then gained back 10 rebelling from the calorie restriction. The is where I am now.... and nothing is working!!!! I can keep momentum going for the week, then come Friday I feel this need for relaxation and I end up gaining a 3-4 lbs over the weekend. Then I lose it the next week, only to regain it the following weekend. I am at my wits end and need this program so bad. I am scared to death of gaining more weight, but this ISN'T ABOUT THE SCALE to me anymore. I just want to be healthy, to indulge here and there, to live LIFE without worrying constantly about what the scale will look like the next day. I want my children to learn from me.
So, that being said, I have my BMR (1557) and my TDEE (2414). I want to change my "goals" on MFP, but need to know what my Net Calories Consumed should be--- 2414 or 1557?? Thank you so much in advance, I know it gets redundant all the new people joining the group.
Please add me as a friend on here so I can copy your diaries and not feel like I am jumping off the losing weight plane without my parachute. LOL!

Hi there and welcome! Sounds like a reset is a great decision. You should go to your settings and set it for your TDEE (2400), although this will be your gross calories consumed, not NET. How did you get your numbers? Did you use a calculator like www.scoobysworshop.com or did MFP give them to you? Your TDEE is based on your current level of daily activity so you do not need to worry about eating back any exercise calories. They are already accounted for in your TDEE.
I'm 7 weeks into my reset today and have found that I have so much more energy and I have gained much less weight than I expected (total of about 3 pounds). I have set you a FR. Welcome to the journey!!0 -

Add nuts, avocado, peanut butter to your food list. It will help you increase your calories. Also switch to full fat dairy. If I find that if I am low on calories for the day I will eat a good fat like avocado or nuts to help increase the calories. Good luck.0
