Today is my last day...

of smoking!! I'm sick and tired of my chest hurting and having to stop midway through each excercise for a 5 count just to breathe. I saw my Dr. last month and he pointed out that if I could make the decision to eat better and excercise then quitting smoking should be easy. Well, so far none of it's been easy but why not try? Anyway, I'm putting this out there because I like the accountability it gives me and I'm hoping maybe every once in a while you guys will make sure I'm staying on task!

:smokin: <---no more for me!

Good for u! I've had my share of issues with that as well. Took a few days off for holiday and I'm realizing how much better I few without it. Your skin will look better, you will smell nicer and most importantly, you will be able to breathe again. I've quit before, but somehow always go back. We can do this together! E-cig works wonders for me. What are you trying?

Perfect! I'm going to do it through sheer will power. I've quit for short stretches and one long one (when my son was born) but my husband won't even try now. Inevitability he's my undoing ....and drinking. It's hard to have a cocktail or two and not light up. I'm thinking that since I don't often waste my calories on booze anymore, it'll be easier. Right?

I'm just going to keep reminding myself, after 3 or 4 days its no longer a physical addiction just mental.

    We got this!

GOOD FOR YOU!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!
  • Yay, traceface!!!!!!!! Congratulations on your decision, just try not to kill anybody. I ended kicking a dent in a Redbox movie vending machine when I quit. It survived and so did I. SO WILL YOU.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! That poor redbox machine! I made it 3 days and had one today. My son got hurt at school and they neglected to call me. I was a sore sight digging through the ashtray looking for that butt I lit on the wrong end...it was an emotional moment and I was livid. Luckily, I found it before they returned my call or else it would've been REALLY ugly. I was in mama bear mode
