Reset days?

I've read a lot of people saying that if they hit a stall they have a carb day to intentionally knock themselves out of ketosis. I also did this on Thanksgiving, and it seems as it worked pretty well so far. Can anyone explain to me the nutritional / bichemical reasoning behind this re-instigating losses? Just curious is all.

I know I've posted in /r/keto a few times with links about it, but that was months ago and I'd have to look through thousands of /r/gonewild comments for it...

Bahahahaha! As a former GWP poster, even I had to laugh at that comment. In seriousness, though, I've had cheat/carb days (although not for weight loss purposes), and seen it actually help with weight loss that week, taking into account the pound or two of water weight gained from that day.

I got banned from commenting in /r/gonewildcurvy because i told a girl who posted a picture of her fully clothed that she wasn't wild enough. I got unbanned for asking why I got banned. I didn't even get a warning or anything.
