            Can I jump in here too? I would like to lose a total of 144 lbs. So far, I'm down 4. I just eloped and would like to set my first major goal for 35 lbs by March 29, 2013, for our wedding celebration party-pseudo 'reception'. I definitely need some help motivating myself!
 What advice would you give to really kick it into gear?

 My weigh in today is
 131.6
 My goal is 125 maybe 120. I want to stay motivated always. I don't want to lose weight today and gain it all back tomorrow. I want to make this a lifestyle change. To look HOT always!!!! I look forward to getting motivation from everyone and I look forward to motivating everyone also.0

            My weight was 296. I am down 4lbs now. My goal is a total of 95lbs. I see about losing more once I have reached that goal. I am suppose to be going to New Orleans in Feb. I would like to have lost at least 35lbs by then. Is that possible?0

            mdb543, I've just started portion control. I'm a vege, but I do eat fish. My downfalls are cheese and rum. Aside from portions, I'm trying to cut back cheese and drinks, increase water and MOVE! 0 0

 I read another post somewhere on MFP that said weight loss is not linear, weight is lost in chunks, and that describes my journey.

 Right now I'm trying to lower my body fat % as well as build muscle, so I'm not sure what to expect from the scale. I just started Russian kettlebells a couple of weeks ago, so am excited to see how that helps me. Any other group-type thing that I should be doing here other than checking the boards?0
