I need a pair of good running shoes. The shoes I have now fit nicely when Im not running but when I start my toes tend to get pinched. And the palm of my foot ( I thinks thats what its called) tends to get blisters. Any suggestions?

You will want to go to a good shoe store and have your measurements taken. They can fit you for a good shoe. Then buy them online for a better price.

If you go to a locally owned store please do the store owner a favor and buy your first pair of shoes there. Small businesses are struggling and they are doing you a favor by fitting you and doing a gait analysis. After your first pair of shoes buy them online for a better price. FWIW, my shoes were lower priced at the running store then I found online. The way I see it, the sales guy spent over an hour with me doing the analysis and finding the right shoe. I wouldnt want to work for free so why would I feel entitled to do the same to someone else.

That said, definitely go get fitted!! Find somewhere that does a gait analysis that way you can get the right shoes the first time!

This is what I plan to do with my Christmas money. I am really looking forward to it... especially since I'm going to get a babysitter for the kids, and my hubby and I are going to go buy new shoes together! It'll be a "hot date" for sure. :smokin:

    ^^^^^^^^^ totally agree.
Luckily there are a few running stores in my area, hopefully you have some options as well. Not just a sporting goods store, but running/walking specialists.

And FWIW, the shoes I got there are the same price as on-line, $120 for the Sauconys that fit me best., and the store has a 1-month try-them-out guarantee.

Thanks for saying that! ^^^^^ My husband owns a running store...we really want to keep this service free, and we have a very liberal return policy. However, many stores across the country are being forced to change their policies to charge something for fitting. We want to be sure you find what works for you but remember that most of the stores that provide these services are independent retailers, not big box stores and can really use your support!
