Holiday Challenge! November 6th - December 31st

Welcome to the Holiday Challenge!!
Here's how it will work. We will be working on the honor system. Weigh yourself to begin. Then you can either let us know your weekly loss OR you can state your start weight and current weight each week. You post your results each week on this board (more about that later.) Check back daily for bonus points! We will have nutrition quiz or bonus workout challenge.
The challenge will always include exercise, water, and staying under your calories:
The goal is:
Exercise for at least a half hour 5 days a week.
Drink 8 glasses of water 6 days a week
Eat clean (staying in the green) 6 days a week.
To report your numbers you just need to visit this conversation and reply. Each Day you meet the goal counts as 1 point. So if during a week you stay in the green 5 days, drink your water 5 days and exercise 5 days you would report it as follows.

CW (current weight) optional
SW (starting weight) optional
OR WL (weight loss) 1lb
Bonus Points any points earned from quizzes or bonus exercises. The bonus points start new each week. There will be points up for grabs.
REPORT BACK EVEN IF YOU DIDN'T MEET ALL THE GOALS! DURING THE HOLIDAYS ACCOUNTABILITY IS KEY.
At the beginning of each new week I will post a leader board for anyone that met all the goals and a flower for the top three who met the goal AND earned the most bonus points.
If you are new to the board and want to participate all you need to do is jump in. Introduce yourself and start keeping track.

Um, what exactly is "clean eating"? I see it mentioned a lot.

I answered the clean eating question in my friend request but then I thought I wonder if anyone else might appreciate an explanation... so here it is. "Clean eating" just means not going over your calories and making nutritious choices.You might have to eat 1600 calories a day. A "clean" way to get your calories might be with grilled chicken, veggies, low fat cheese, fruits, cottage cheese, oatmeal, popcorn ...stuff like that. The goal isn't to eat a whopper for 1,000 calories and a large fry for 500 and then some soda for 100 and starve for the rest of the day. I hope that makes sense! : )0

I am definitely in this game. I weigh in every Wednesday night with a group, so I hope that is not too late for my weekly check in with you guys. I joined weight watchers because I felt I needed some face to face support.
That said, I lost .6 lbs tonight.

I put my name down, but have come into a rough patch for the next few weeks. I will do my best to keep up with this however some things are going to be difficult.

20kg mini goal {in progress, 13.4kg down} - goal 24 December 2012

I'm currently living in Christchurch, New Zealand and in a couple of weeks we're moving to Nelson, back home. I have the mission on my hands to get our rental home cleaned and packed, gardens done (And it's going to be no easy feat!)0 -

food - 4/7 -all of these days were clean except for last night.....but I went over 1600 two days this week

Im still in ladies..........heading to my other dds tomorrow and she has a scale im anxious to get on it....I have taken a piece of string and measured my waist to see if I lose any inches while Im here.....myexercising has gone up with walking the baby outside!! Willl update friday..........0

You don't have a scale? Did yours break? I usually go to amazon they have great prices and offer reviews of the product so you can make sure you aren't getting a piece of junk!0 -

of corse thats only if your taking the aggressive get my ripped body back tance if your not motivated and willing to push your self you will crash quickley0

Im still not at my home and my oldest dd does not have a scale here........but my youngest dd came for a visit overnight and she brought hers...Im pleased to say Im back down to 282 this week!!! 1 pound away from my lowest...and being away from home that huge for me..
