    Can I jump in here too? I would like to lose a total of 144 lbs. So far, I'm down 4. I just eloped and would like to set my first major goal for 35 lbs by March 29, 2013, for our wedding celebration party-pseudo 'reception'. I definitely need some help motivating myself!

    What advice would you give to really kick it into gear?

    Nice to meet everyone.

    My weigh in today is

    131.6

    My goal is 125 maybe 120. I want to stay motivated always. I don't want to lose weight today and gain it all back tomorrow. I want to make this a lifestyle change. To look HOT always!!!! I look forward to getting motivation from everyone and I look forward to motivating everyone also.

    My weight was 296. I am down 4lbs now. My goal is a total of 95lbs. I see about losing more once I have reached that goal. I am suppose to be going to New Orleans in Feb. I would like to have lost at least 35lbs by then. Is that possible?

    mdb543, I've just started portion control. I'm a vege, but I do eat fish. My downfalls are cheese and rum. Aside from portions, I'm trying to cut back cheese and drinks, increase water and MOVE! :)

    Doesn't look like much but everytime I get just under 70 I go straight back up again. So if I'm at 69.00 for more than a day I'll be so happy!

    I read another post somewhere on MFP that said weight loss is not linear, weight is lost in chunks, and that describes my journey.
    Hoping I lose another 'chunk' soon!

    My weight today is 178.5 - up 6 since the last time I weighed in a few weeks ago.
    Goal: lose 10 lbs by Jan. 2.
    Final goal: 159 lbs.

    I'm just learning how to be in a group, so sorry about not checking in here! :)

    Right now I'm trying to lower my body fat % as well as build muscle, so I'm not sure what to expect from the scale. I just started Russian kettlebells a couple of weeks ago, so am excited to see how that helps me. Any other group-type thing that I should be doing here other than checking the boards?
