8days post op

i havent been on mfp for a while. I finally had my surgery nov 27th (7days after my 28th bday!). as of today ive lost 15lbs! I had the RNY surgery.
im also wondering if i should had my ticker start at the weight i was right after surgery to show 15 instead of 40. i had to lose 18lbs preop for my insurance.
idk what do you think should i just leave it?
should i make it include only the 15 since surgery? (which is what i think i should do)
or the 18 and 15 that i lost for this surgery?

any comments are welcome and anyone can add me!

Have the ticker show every pound you have lost because no matter how you did it, you lost that weight and deserve the recognition! Congratulations on the surgery, and welcome to the club!

I agree. Let your ticker show all your hard work! Congrats on the surgery and beginning the journey to a better life. I had RNY on 9/2712 and have lost 20 pounds since the surgery. Since I began this endeavor, I have lost 57 pounds. I have less than 30 to go to reach my surgeon's/dietitian's goal. A little more for mine, but we'll see how things go. Again, congrats on the surgery and I hope that the healing goes well and your life is improved because of it!

my heaviest weight was 406 that was in 2007. my weight before surgery was 339, i gained some weight due to the iv. the day home from surgery i was 342. i am currently 327lbs.
my goal weight is 184, but i would be happy with anything under 200 lol.

I wholeheartedly agree with the above posters, you have the ticker reflect all of the weight lost. You have earned it! I am having my surgery next week and I will be including all that I have lost pre-op and post-op. I had to lose 35 pounds pre-op so all that work will not go to waste!

Mine too. I actually have three weights I can remember, my highest weight, which was exactly four years ago, my weight in April 2012, after I had lost a lot and been pretty stable for two years, and my weight at surgery on 8/21/12. My ticker shows my loss since I was heaviest.
