Hi. I'm 29 and was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism when I was 17. I'm on Levoxyl and have been for years. I have been using MFP for a little over a week and I've lost 5 lbs. I've always used my thyroid as an excuse why I couldn't lose weight. I have around a 100 lbs to lose and it can be scary but I'm just taking it a day at a time. No more excuses! I'm looking forward to finding some help here.

Welcome! This is a very informative and supportive board. HypoT does make it difficult to lose weight but hang in there! There are many people "here" that share the same obstacles.0

Welcome Christa :flowerforyou:
Congrats on the 5 lbs. You should do fine, once you set your mind to it & stick to it. You look young enough, and that is a big plus!
Please ask questions, do searches of the forum, there have been some really good threads where people share the tips that really work for us. I've found so much help here myself.0 -
hi and welcome!!!
Congrats on the weight loss! You can lose the remaining 100lbs. It's not easy, it will be a rollercoaster of emotions and results, but YOU CAN DO IT! It needs a lot of commitment and determination but the healthy eating and exercising soon becomes second nature and part of your lifestyle and everyday life.
Take care!0 -
