Just started Month 2 and got sick...

Hey all,

So I had just come through Recovery Week and had completed Day 1 of Month 2.

That very night I started throwing up and ended up bed ridden for the next 6 days.
I caught a nasty virus and was not able to eat, let alone exercise. I am just about 100% recovered now, but I'm wondering....

Should I continue as planned with Week 3, Month 2 next week (after having nearly 3 weeks of almost no exercise) or shall I start again with Month 1 and ease back in to things?

Thoughts?

  • I'm only on month one, but from what I've heard about month 2 it's pretty brutal. So I would definitely say don't continue on. Maybe just start back with day 1 of month two. See how you feel during and after that workout. If everything feels good, I say do day 2. But if you're still not quite ready to jump back into such crazy workouts, do another recovery week, or do the max recovery for a couple of days. You'll still be working out doing insanity, but just not making yourself sick in the process :)

    I agree with Rissa. I did 2 rounds of insanity and towards the end of round 2, I hurt my wrist and could not put any weight on it. I took 2 weeks off and completed afterwards. You may want to ease back by doing a couple of core cardio and balance and pure cardio workouts to get back. After you feel you are somewhat back on track, then start back where you left off.

    It will take you 2-3 weeks extra to finish, I think you will get the same benefits.
