I did it, I'm bragging.
I ran a 5k straight through, my first official race.
35:42 slow but I'm new.
I shaved about five minutes off my practice times.
I had a women right behind me with fans at every mile mark. They screamed "go grandma". I chuckled because I'm only 43. Inspiring and irritating at the same time.
My kids were at the finish line and I realized that they will remember this when they are in their 40's and get off the couch.
I have lots of plans for what's next. More 5ks then a 10 k.
