Retrain Eating???

Hi peeps, this might sound totally whack to you but can you train a dog how to eat?
I've got two Rottweilers both rescues...my younger on about 5or 6 chews everything thoroughly, its actually funny. My older one around 7 has what people call Kennel Syndrome. He doesn't chew his food. He only chews big chunks, and just enough to swallow. And he eats it really fast....hence Kennel Syndrome when the dogs scarf down their food in fear another dog will take it from them. He was like this before we got the second dog even.
I'm fear that this will start taking a toll on his digestive system as he gets older. He threw up yesterday morning and there were chunks of raw hide in his food.....he isn't chewing the raw hide properly anymore. And his food of course was still whole and not chewed of course.
Has anyone heard of re training a dogs eating habits?? Or has anyone else gone through this with their dog?

I worked as a Vet Tech and Kennel Manager several years ago, when we had this issue, just like with humans smaller portions more meals per day.0

Try putting his food on a cookie sheet or some other flat surface so he can't just gobble it up and i'd stay away from giving him rawhides if he isn't chewing them, that's just asking for trouble.
or you can get a bowl like this..

Failed to mention or ask feed them seperately.0

Will try smaller portions! As for feeding separately, we tried this once before and the smaller one wouldn't eat. Maybe I will try again! Thanks0 -
