WW for 1 week and gained 3 lbs!

I used MFP off & on for awhile and then got an e-mail from WW and thought, hmmm let's try it and see what happens. Well in 1 week I gained 3 pounds and didn't even eat all the "points" in a day I was supposed to eat. I think I'd rather know exactly how many calories I am consuming and my Fitbit tracker links directly to MFP so I like that too. I wanted to be under 190 before Christmas but not even realistic goal anymore. :( I just don't want to be 200 by Christmas at this point. Thanks for listening! And I don't have any friends on MFP, so if anyone here wants to add me, that may help me keep going. Cause after last week - ugh, is all that comes to mind. lol

I have 3 kids, a dog, 2 cats and work in healthcare and hate exercise lol. I'm a bit weight loss challenged, you could say. And Sicilian so I have those great "let's eat pasta" genes. :)

  • I did weight watchers too - but found MFP much better, as I am able to really track my food MUCH better this way, and no need for that handy-dandy calculator to figure out the points, etc....

Hang in there. Try and not focus TOO much on the scale. The one thing I did learn from my WW was to not weigh yourself everyday - as it can get really frustrating if you do not see the scale go down as much (or often) as you would like!

I am on here everyday....I will send you a friend request (and anyone else who wants to *friend me* too) I have a small group of friends, and we all motivate, encourage each other everyday - it really does help!!!! GOOD LUCK Monica!

That's discouraging that you gained during your first week. Something really went wrong. I think you're doing the right thing by trying out different programs to see what suits you the best. This is my second attempt at MyFitnessPal because it ended up being the better option for me. I wish you nothing but the best. I'm sure you can do it with plenty of support on here. Feel free to add me as a friend:smile:

I would love to be your friend. I also work in health care. I was on WW several years ago and lost about 20 pounds but I found it a pain to make the meeting and keep track of the points. I need something simple and quick. MFP has been a great fit.

I have two children one in college and one out on his own (almost), a wonderful husband and 4 australian shepherds.

    Good Luck!!
