Yesterday was W8D2. Hubby & I ran the Miss Santa Holiday 5k. It is a R.A.C.E. (run against cancer event).
I finished in 36:39.7 - an average pace of 11:49 - with no walk breaks. I was 444 out of 504 and 34 out of 42 in my age group. I am pleased with myself.
I am trying to keep myself to a slower pace than I know I can do. We started training to participate in the runDisney Tower of Terror 10 Miler in September 2013. Once I have the endurance down, I'll work on the speed.
I already downloaded to active.com 5k to 10k app to go right into it when I graduate from c25k.

That's fantastic! I have done 2 5k races and my next one is in February. I have no plans to become a running athlete. I'm content with 3 miles right now. I'd love to become motivated to run more but I think what you're doing is such a great idea. You're giving yourself plenty of time and 10 miles is a really great goal. More power to you!!!0
