I am thinking about it. I did one in October and felt great!! I am eating more primal now with some dairy. I will decide soon. I am afraid though that the detox will be worse if I indulge over the Holidays (which I probably will~~ a little bit)0
-
I think I am ready to give it a go...have been mostly primal for a couple of months but starting to slip a bit with the holiday treats. I need to get back on track and January is as good a time as any0
-
January 2nd for me...the first is my birthday, and Icannot be held accountable for cake that literally has my name on it0
-
I'm in. I seriously need to get back on track after the holidays0

I really think I need to do this, too. I've been gorging on "paleo treats". Ok, putting "paleo" before a dessert item doesn't make it healthy. "Paleo truffles" "paleo brownies" and "Paleo fudge" is making me pudgy. Darn holidays!

I am thinking to do that for Jan.
Bacons
Spinach
Meats
Eggs
Butter
Coffee
Onions
and few veggies for the month of Jan.0 -
30 day Paleo beginner right here! Couldn't be more excited. Going to try and start early! December 26th! I've been REALLY good the past few week though. Been eating about 90% Paleo... GOOD LUCK!0
-
I need to! I eat a bit more dairy and other "GF" things then I should. I will add you!0
-
I'm in. I am hoping to keep mostly paleo until then, but I can do a strict Whole30 starting in January.0
-
I am so glad so many people are doing it0

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to. I've been cheating and I plan on cheating on Christmas and New Years. So, a Jan whole 30 will be in order. In addition to that, I will also be eliminating all nuts and chocolate because these are definitely irritating my stomach. It stinks because so many paleo baked goods are made with almond flour and now I can't have that. So what's left? I guess it's a good way to keep me from baking treats, although with the holidays behind us I won't have much of a reason anyway. I was also supposed to be on a low fodmap diet but that fell by the wayside too. But I am tired of food elimination challenges. I feel there's nothing left for me to eat!0

After reading about Paleo I think I’m ready to give it a try. I’m planning on January 2 to start the 30 day challenge. I’m going to do a day fast on January 1 to get all the holiday food and drinks out of my system.0

I am starting Whole30 on January 2nd. I did one in November and it was wonderful, but I've been finding myself seriously slipping the last couple of weeks.0

Danielle,
The PDF printable shopping list from Whole9 is available at this address:

thanks for the shopping list!
Do you know of a good meal plan for ideas0 -
I've got some recipes on my blog(eattolivelivetorun.wordpress.com) from when I did my Whole30 in November that you are welcome to look at. Also the Practical Paleo cookbook is awesome, but not everything in it is Whole30 approved ... most is though. It also includes a 30 day meal plan. Emeals.com has a Paleo plan that provides you with weekly meals and a shopping list all in one place for a really cheap price. The meals are typically very simple to make and take very little time. And if you haven't already I think its incredibly beneficial to read It Starts With Food before starting your Whole30 to understand all the "science-y" stuff.0

OK, I am definitely in ;-) There is a nice guide and cookbook/meal/snack plans that you can download from the whole9 website!! I got a good start that way.0

I see paleoLennie already linked it!!0

I'm in for my third! I was going back and forth a bit this week, then made a bean soup my husband requested for dinner last night and spent most of the night nauseated and sick. Not fun, but the incentive I needed. I'm kind of debating stretching it to a 60.
I'll be posting my menu plans each week on Sunday on my blog at awkwardgirlgetsfit.com if anyone wants to join me. The more ideas I can get, the better!0 -
I'm doing my second Whole30 in jan too. I've been having too many poor choices lately. A W30 is the best way I have found to get back on track. I'm excited to see there are several of us doing it together. I let a friend borrow my ISWF book. I hope she is finished with it soon. I need a few recipes from it.0

I am starting tomorrow. Here is what I plan on eating tomorrow:
Breakfast: avocado on bed of lettuce
Lunch: Chicken Creamy Tomorrow Soup (I am making this in the crockpot now. http://paleomemphis.tumblr.com/post/17269502283/paleo-chicken-crockpot-soup)
Snack: carrots and hummus
Dinner: Tilapia (baked with fresh lemon and pepper) and mixed vegies
Dessert: Spinach Smoothie (spinach, blueberries and splash of freshly squeezed OJ)
This is my first whole 30, so, Thoughts?0 -
Is it paleo hummus? Otherwise its not really Whole 30...0
-
I'm having a challenge in starting 'full on' tomorrow. I have no groceries. There are situations that have cropped up that *may* get in the way of me getting what I need at the grocery store. I may not be impeccable tomorrow, but plan to organize and plan my pantry. I already have a bunch of staples, but need good meats and veggies. I am going to get what I can, and will do my best but I am going through all of January anyway, so no matter how you look at it, it will be over a whole 30.0
-
I know. I have a whole thing of hummus I just opened the other day. ;(0
-
I am doing Whole30 January 2-31. This will be my first time so I am excited and nervous about it. Except for the holidays I eat fairly clean most of the time so hopefully it won't be too bad. New friends and support always welcome0

This meal template from Whole9 might help you. http://whole9life.com/book/ISWF-Meal-Planning-Template.pdf
I don't see a protein with breakfast.
Im betting the hummus is not W30. We are Not suppose to snack. Your meals should be filling enough to keep you going. As for dessert, having a dessert is not W30. Smoothies are discouraged also. The only time I've see them approved over on the official board is if they are a small portion of a well rounded meal that includes protein, veggie and a good fat. I don't mean to sound negative, but I feel honest support is the only kind worth having.
Have you read It Starts With Food? It's a great help.0 -
I'm in! This will be my 2nd Whole 30! I also had a paleo consult just to check in the week before xmas so I'm feeling more ready! Will have to start to prep this week!0
