Weight gain???

My hubby and I have completed two weeks doing primal. No processed foods. No grains or legumes. Last week starting lowering my dairy to only what my husband uses at dinner time. That being said, hubby has lost noticeable inches around his middle. Me? Nope, nada, nothing, and the scale is going up ever so slightly. My calories haven't been crazy either. I'm going to stick with it. Maybe it takes a couple of weeks before my body adjusts and decides to let go? Any ideas or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.

I guess on paleo diet to lose weight in women..you should stay away from fruit and nuts...I was eating them and no weight loss, cut fruit out to like 1 every other day, and nuts way down, and I've lost 6 pounds. Lots of protein , and fat , no more then 100g of carbs a day was also recommended for weight loss in women...so it took about 2 months for me to notice a difference, its not super fast....especially if you don't have alot to lose like I did

I do think it takes time to adjust, and also depends on how much you have to lose. I have a total of 25 to lose, and 19 came off slowly, pound by pound, over the past 6 months. The inches came off faster. Thats with only sporadic exercise. .I bet it will take another six months to lose the last 6. Or, just focus on losing body fat.

If you open your diary, we might be able to help more.

As above - fruit and nuts. I struggle to lose when I eat either of these. Also try cutting out the dairy altogether as you may have an intolerance to it.

Definitely try reducing fruit and nuts. The fructose in fruit can get turned directly into fat, if the liver is full. And nuts are pretty calorie-dense. Calories still matter, just not the entire story like we're led to believe.

I'll second that we might be able to help more if we could see your diary, and am curious what kind of exercise have you been doing?
