I'm really looking forward to doing weekly challenges! I'm big on short term goals and successes
As for ideas, I think once we are a couple of weeks in and everyone is back in the swing of working out we could have a calorie-burn goal for that week. Like, before the week is over burn 2500 kcal from exercise (that seems doable, or if people want more of a challenge it could be more). Along that vein, we could have an increasing exercise goal, like week 1 burn 1500 kcal, week 2 burn 2000 kcal, week 3 burn 2500 kcal. Just an idea.
If anyone likes running or biking we could make distance-based goals.
I don't know if those are really 'fun' ideas, but I think it would help us all get back to the gym if we know we have a goal to meet0 -
I really like those ideas a lot! Thank you!0

Every month I set a new goal for myself. Mine tend to be time-oriented, since I like to do a variety of exercise forms. For December my goal was 1200 minutes, in any combination of exercises. That means that hiking, mountain biking, weight lifting, Jillian Michaels videos, and even my lunchtime walks all count! It's easier than you think to get to 1200 (especially when you throw a couple of four-hour hikes in there) but it's enough that you do have to make an effort to get there. Keeps me on track!
Or how about "Try a new healthy recipe ___ times this week (maybe try a new veggie you've never had before?)"
Just some thoughts to get the old gears going...0 -
All of these ideas are soo great.... Keep up the amazing work everyone.0

I love the idea of the increasing calorie burn from week to week as well as the monthly exercising time goal!
Maybe we could also make goals involving healthy eating. For example, one week we could set a goal to eat clean for a few meals or however many days or for the entire week. Another week a goal could be to go without foods that contain added sugar. Another could be to eat a certain servings of vegetables/fruit. We could even make it into a competition to motivate people to honestly stay on track.0 -
I love the "try a new healthy meal/vegetable" idea! As well as the time oriented exercise.
I must say, though, the week without added sugar sounds the most difficult! It's amazing how much sugar is in processed food when you actually stop to read the nutrition facts. I think we should definitely try it!0 -
These are good idea I'm going to incorporate them in my weekly exercise goals. I can't wait to hear how successful everyone will be. Good Luck everyone!0

I love these ideas!! I also like to try adding healthy habits (as opposed to focusing on what I'm cutting out). One of mine that makes a HUGE difference in how I feel is making it a goal to eat some dark leafy greens at least 1x a day. They can be in a smoothie, stir fry, whatever I'm in the mood for .0

My current goal is to try two new workouts a week. I love my Killer Buns & Thighs and Ripped in 30 workouts, but I have discovered that changing things up makes a big difference! So I'm now incorporating workouts from Zuzkalight in my rotation. I tried two new ones last week and LOVED them. They are really fast-paced so they went by incredibly fast. Can't wait for my next one...
Today is my active rest day, and I feel lazy...0
