Actually started yesterday...

All good intentions to start on the 26th, couldn't get myself out of the holiday eating momentum...
So I started yesterday, after weighing myself in the morning to find that I had gained 7 lbs over the holiday! So starting weight was 202 lbs, not 195 lbs. This was really upsetting for so many reasons. I've never weighed over 200 lbs. I am now 7 lbs heavier, 7 lbs more to lose, more work for myself! Ughhh. Thanks to the support of a lot of MFP friends, I got myself out of bed and got started on the cleanse (shakeology 3 day cleanse) I was planning to do to jump start myself into losing weight. I'm very hungry and cranky (lol) and all I want is some comfort food! But I have to stay strong or that 202 will turn into 210 and then 220...and I'll never reach my goals. Why does food have such control over us?

How is everyone else doing so far??? Lets motivate each other!

  • I totally understand the power struggle with food. A great place to go for motivation is the Success Stories board. I figure if others can achieve their goals, so can we! It seems like you are off to an awesome start! And, the holidays are behind us- it's go time!!!

    I am sorry to hear you had a gain during the holidays...I love your attitude towards getting back at it... I will update the spreadsheet.. We are all here for you........ Day or night.. I hope the clense will help you. :wink:
