If you plan ahead your meals, this may work for you. I've found that if I pre-enter what I plan to eat for that day, I am much less likely to snack because I have in my head just how many calories are "left-over" for extras. When I didn't do that, I would enter dinner at the end of the day and realize I had kind of screwed myself my snacking earlier in the day.
Also, even if I only have dinner planned, entering that ahead of time gives me a guide of what to get for lunch or breakfast. If I am having a light dinner, I can have a bit heavier lunch and vice versa.
This may be an old tip but I just discovered it this weekend and thought I'd pass it on!

I completely agree, planning ahead helps me out alot. In order for me to eat a healthy breakfast and lunch I need to know what I am having for dinner so I know where my calorie intake is.0
