    Will have a milestone B-day this year. Want to be truly on my way to my goal of a healthy weight. So now i'm off to the treadmill.

    I just started this again yesterday so there isnt much difference in my SW and CW. I want to lose this to feel better about myself. I hate looking at myself in the mirror or trying on clothes etc. Good luck everyone, I am glad to be a part of something that will keep me motivated.

    This is my first time joining a group! I've just recommitted myself to losing weight, AGAIN. I keep regaining everything I lose (and then some) and I'm ready to get it off and keep it off this time. I've always had success with WW and the accountability of the meetings, but I just can't afford it right now so I'm excited about having a group to check in with. Good luck to everyone! :)

    Stupid question. Is you start weight from today so you can see your progress up to 40-50lbs or your start weight from beginning your new life journey?

    Either one....whatever you feel comfortable putting down. I did mine from my starting weight (heaviest....which isn't far off from where I am now), but some people like to put their current weight as their starting weight.

    Mini Goals:
    180 by 1/31 (with my jeans fitting correctly)
    175 by 2/28
    170 by 3/31
    165 by 4/30
    160 by 5/31

    I originally joined MFP in March 2011, lost 35 pounds by mid July. I remember a day that June or July when I took my son to the pool and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and thought, Wow - when did THAT happen. That was truly the first time I could physically see a difference in the mirror. Then went through a very stressful time and changed jobs twice over the next 6 months. Fell into old habits including drinking Mountain Dew, not paying attention to portion sizes, and quit going to the gym. My clothes don't fit correctly anymore and I REFUSE to buy any more until I need smaller sizes. This is my year to make it happen, and finally get to my goal weight!!!

    Been working at it since May 2012, in the gym and in the kitchen, but really need to make a bigger push at better eating habits now. Also learned I have hypothyroid during this time, and started medication, but I'm not convinced that it's making enough of a difference.
