Sorry to hear you had such a bad time this year. I love Christmas too. So, my plan to enjoy this holiday was to scale back, both the amount of food and the number of items. I also made my favorite sugar free dessert so that I would not feel deprived. We had high protein appetizers again, so I could participate and not feel left out. So, perhaps next year you might want to change up your menu. Also, I do not have childrens so it may be easier I don't buy sweets so they are not in the house. I do keep sugar free candy around though to feel "normal" Hope that helps.

anything helps i had SUCH high hopes this year but at the last minute it totally fell apart! i had sugar free triffels and desserts in the house ready i even had my food diary planned out ....and WELL.......the hole thing went to pot! The goodies are just about gone now thank god i will be stuffing them in the kids lunch boxes tomorrow morning! (sorry kids)!!
and the last few mince pies will be eaten today! not by me!
i don't do anything sweet at all!
so i try to keep it all out of the house i am a bit(ok alot) weird like that,i am so good most of the time,if i taste even the most tiny little bit of sweetness i have to have tons and blow the day! so i try to stay away! lol
