BLISTERS!

Ok, so the shoes I use for running are New Balance all terrain type of shoe. When I bought them I did not anticapte even doing C25K, or let alone finishing it. I do plan on getting fitted for a new pair of running shoes, but until then I have aquired a nasty blister on the back of my left ankle. I ran with it one day tape/bandaged up and the next morning it was on fire. I've decided to let it heal for a few more days, but even putting socks over it was hurting. This was after cleaning/putting a bandage on it. Does anyone have some good advice on how to avoid this until I get new shoes or how to better bandage the blister? Should I just wait it out? As for socks I wear athletic socks that cover the whole back of my ankle.

Sorry, no advice to give. Just wanted to wish you a quick recovery from that nasty blister.

I know this is an old question/thread but my advice would be to smear the back of your heels with vaseline before putting your socks on, keeps the area lubricated - less friction!
