I'm interested I know what supplements you take or have taken and if you think they make a difference.
I've been looking at this offer http://www.myprotein.com/uk/products/weight-loss-bundle-mp and wondering if it's worth buying some of the individual products or not. I already take a multi-vit + iron daily and l-lysine when I feel rundown or have the beginnings of a cold sore.
I'm not sure if I really believe all the blurb on that page or if it's just clever marketing/too good to be true/you COULD lose fat, type of thing.
So, throw your thoughts at me

I would read more into thermogenics if I were you. They scare the crap out of me - can make you super jittery. I don't think they are necessary if you want to burn fat.
I take a multi-vitamin, flax seed oil, and fish oil capsules. I drink a protein shake that contains both whey and casein - I usually lift in the evening, so it helps me stay full while I sleep. I just started taking creatine, which is supposed to help you be able to workout harder once it builds up in your muscle cells.
There is a lot of information out there on the internet about any type of supplement - pros and cons. GNC is scary because they try to sell you stuff that is "sponsored" and can try to push expensive stuff on you - but sometimes you can find someone really down to earth and helpful at answering questions about supplements.0 -

I will just make some comments on the contents. Diet Whey, I have tried some protein's that are considered Lean and will burn fat and have the ingredients for it.. Usually its more expensive than Just Whey Protein.. My Experience, not worth it.. I didn't notice any different between taking diet whey protein and normal except sometimes the diet is less protein per scoop.. Just buy the normal stuff, if you are worried about your macro's or the fat/carbs in protein you can buy isolate ones that are 0/0 in those for a bit more.. but the protein build to enhance weight loss is just a gimmick.
Thermopure - Sounds like a diet pill, probably something like hydroxycut or the like..
Omega 3 Fish Oil - People take fish oil pills, I have heard studies that fish oil doesn't really give you any added heart benefits, I have heard others that do.. I would say if you eat fish weekly you are probably getting enough, or you can do flax seed or something.
CLA - Not sure what this is for, might be to promote digestive health or something.. couldn't really find much on it.
Daily Vitamins - You should be doing a multi vitamin anyways.
Blender Bottle - Love my blender bottles with the metal ball thing in them.. great at mixing.
As for me I just do normal protein, multi vitamin, then a fiber supplement.. I just change protein types depending on whats on sale.0 -
Take Krill Oil, CoQ10, and magnesium and take a multi-vitamin when I think about it.0

Thanks for your input. I do appreciate it. A lot of the wording makes it all seem SO necessary.
I'll carry on with my multi-vits & iron, l-lysine and Benefibre.
Greenrun - I do tend to eat fish most weeks so for now won't bother with the Omega 3.0 -
I take children's chewable vitamin (think Flintstones) and children's gummy omega-3 several times a week when I remember.0
