Turn around the start of a bad day

So I was thinking about how sometimes I can start off having a bad day and when that happens I always feel like throwing in the towel for the day and just having a junk day...but no more!

Today I thought would be one of those days but I turned my day around in mid-afternoon.
After eating 3 pieces of egg bread in the morning and lasgna at lunch I thought it was too much carbs and calories so I entered it all into MFP and when I saw I only had 200 calories remaining and haven't reached dinner I decided not to throw the towel in....

I decided to create the extra calories I needed for dinner by working for them. Working out to be precise. After doing Jillian Michaels videos I now have room for a good dinner. Feels great.

How do you turn your bad days around?

This is an AWESOME NSV!!! (non scale victory) Because it shows how you are changing your whole attitude about weight loss!!! You are NOT ON A DIET but you are making HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHOICES!!! BIG DIFFERENCE!!!! The old you would have quit your diet for the day... The NEW and IMPROVED you said EVERYDAY COUNTS so let's make this a HEALTHY DAY!!!

SO much of this is MENTAL!!!! You made a great healthy choice today!!! :flowerforyou:  :drinker:  :flowerforyou:

Thank you! I feel super good about it. Now the only problem is I ate a little too much for dinner so I have to burn off that extra 150 calories...I'll be working out forever with all the eating I do! LOL

I know I have days like that too. The funny thing is that lately, I've exercised enough on some days that I've had to eat a snack to keep my deficit where I want it!
Since last August when I threw out the word "DIET" from my vocabulary, I made a decision to lose only 4-5 lbs. a month. So far it’s been working and I have enjoyed my new way of eating. I also discovered so many new and healthier foods that I really like!
You seem like your figuring it out, so hang in there!

I was at work today near the end of my day and I thought gosh I am so tired I so dread getting on that treadmill when I get home...maybe I'll skip it tonight..... but my thought process changed, I said getting on that treadmill IS NOT an option....IT IS A MUST....A HAVE TOO..just taking a shower, just like brushing my teeth....just like going to work...NOT AN OPTION ANYMORE!!! and guess what.....I GOT ON THE TREADMILL WHEN I GOT HOME :bigsmile:

Good for you newmeb450! I know sometimes when I'm not in the mood to workout I tell myself to go and at least do10 mins. Then once I get started, I end up doing the whole 30-60 mins. For me it's just getting up and started that I seem to have a problem with.
