Would love to hear from you if so.

I occasionally do this - mostly 16 hour long fasts - from dinner to dinner.
  • Well, hello there! I'm doing 34hrs every 2nd day at the moment (from 11ish one night until 9ish the day after the day after that) and I have to say, the no-eat days are so much easier than the eat days. But I am an all-or-nothing sort of person I think. Hope it has some fantastic results soon!

I agree with you on the "all or nothing". Sometimes figuring out what to eat after a fast is the toughest part! It's really supposed to help with fat loss, which is where I am right now. When I was running a lot, my body fat was at 19-20%. I want to get back down there, and the best way to do it is eating Paleo and intermittent fasting. Have you been doing it long enough to see the benefits?
  • Not really, just since New Year. I've almost always been a breakfast skipper, meaning a 14-16hourish fast daily, but wanted to up the ante a bit. I've always been a runner too but now just on non-fast days (though I ran while fasting the other day and it felt good!!)

I'm hoping it will have immediate, tangible results though: I figure that 100sh hrs a week of fasting is equiv to a 8000 cal deficit right? And if I'm only eating paleo the other days... Well, it's got to mean thinner thighs, surely!!?

    How about you?

The best IF I can muster is swapping out food at breakfast for bulletproof coffee. It does intrigue me though and I've thought about trying it at some point, just maybe not just yet. I've got weight to lose so I'm worried about possible hormone changes that would slow or stall my loss

I skip breakfast about 25 days plus out of a month. So it's not planned or IF but I go from 6pm-1pm the next day before I will eat. Been like ths for years as I am not a an of eating first thing in morning so I don't. But sometimes I eat breakfast it just depends if the mood strikes.

OMG!!! How much thinner of thighs are you wanting? Please do not confuse justify an eating disorder for IF. How many calories are you eating on non-IF days?

Hey... Think it's a bit out there to start talking about eating disorders! If you're referring to my photo, it was taken at the end of summer when I'd been training a lot and being very careful with my food. The holiday period has fattened me up... So that photo is there as a reminder of what I'd like to get back to. That said, I do tend to like, aesthetically, a thinner frame than most people find attractive. It's just a personal taste: one that I would strive for but certainly not at the risk of compromising my health or my ability to care for my family.
