Anyone up for AM or lunch walks in Old Town Alexandria?

Hello! gritgirl introduced me to this group. I'm a 60-something office manager/literary agent looking for Old Town lunchtime or early morning walking buddy. Have been sedentary due to job for past 1.5 years, so I'm tip-toeing into the exercise thing, but love brisk walks - can meet with someone for 15-, 20-, 30- minute walks to start out. New to MFP, but not new to good intentions re: health & wellness - Want to try it for one day a week, then build up? I'm not interested in joining a gym or exercise class right now - maybe later.

    Gerrie: I can't do lunch or early morning but I could do a weekend walk, maybe a Saturday afternoon. My friend Karen lives in Alexandria and maybe she could join us too. I live in DC but am in Falls Church on Saturdays.

    I won't know until Thursday about Saturday afternoon...is that too late? Where does your friend Karen live? I actually live in the west part of Alexandria near Seminary/Beauregard - near the Hilton Mark Center.

    no worries - another time, I'm also going to be away from the 25th-27th for my mom's birthday in SC.
