I went 46 over on my carbs having adjusted them to 40 percent. I did make it very close to my 1200 calories for the day. Do I worry much about going a little over my carb limit?

I would not worry about it now. If you are going to do a reset, just get those calories in any way you can. The longer you take working up to TDEE, the longer the reset process. (BTW, suggested reset time is 8 weeks at TDEE).

I'm on week five of the reset process, but have only two weeks of full TDEE to count toward my eight weeks. I spent the first 17-18 days trying to reach TDEE. It is amazing how much more food you have to shove down your throat while trying to eat healthy.

If I had it to do over again, I'd have eaten junk the first two weeks just to reach TDEE and then replaced the junk with healthier foods as I was able to ingest more food. But that is just me, not something I'd recommend to everyone.

Another thing I do (which is probably a huge no-no among the die-hard "no processed/diet food" eaters) ... I drink Slim Fast-style shakes (Equate from Walmart) in the morning. I'm still have problems eating solid food when I first get up. At least the shakes give me a healthy dose of nutrients to start my day.

Two other foods that I'd be lost without are:
Lindt 85% cacao chocolate: One square is 58 calories, 1g protein, 4g carbs and 5g fat.
Kashi oatmeal dark chocolate cookie: Each cookie is 130 calories, 2g protein, 20g carbs, 5g of fat and has a healthy 4g of fiber.

I find both to be a healthy way to feed a sweet tooth.

Edited to add that I am brand new to EM2WL. Also, I am MUCH heavier than you, about 100 pounds heavier. You'd think that being morbidly obese would mean I was eating everything in sight, but that was not the case. I was barely moving and barely eating, though I'm still not sure which one came first. I just know that I was very unhealthy for a very long time. Now, I'm mostly watching my fats and trying to increase my protein as I eat at TDEE.

Just curious, is your 15% cut 1200? It sounds pretty low.
