How do I determine how many servings are in a recipe that I am making? Its my own throw together recipe.
I entered the recipe into the database, now do I choose what size I want the servings to be (1 cup) or more than count them
out once I make it?
Why am I so confused on this part, can someone please help
Thanks :)

If I use a pound of turkey, I just say it will be 4 servings, and when it is ready, then I measure and divide in four equal parts either by weight or cups.
  • i do the math at the start, a calculator is your bestie on this one. i add the oz of all the can foods and than the meat, i can use a lb of gr. turkey and get 6 or 8 servings depending on the amount of liquid used, it may seem like too little meat but if you bulk it up with mushrooms than u wont notice and i also use powder bullion and spices to kick up the flavor. good luck!
PS i count a serving as a cup, but if the cal. is low enough i might count it as two cups :)
