Not half marathon material yet, but...

I can do 10k, the longest I have ever run is 10.3k in just over an hour, no stopping, there is a 15k in April that I'd like to try...but wondering if its too much of a leap...opinions on the best way to tackle it?
I run 3 times a week usually 6-8k/run depending. Ave pace is between 6'-6'4/km.
Was hoping to do a half marathon in October, but for now the 15k has me freaked out.

You have plenty of time to train for both the 15k and the half marathon. Be patient and go for it!

There are lots of HM training schedules on the web. Don't know of any 15K training schedules but the key to preparing for all these longer distance races is to use one run each week where you run longer and slower. For example, try running a 10K each weekend but at a pace 45 seconds per K slower than your regular pace. This should feel much easier than when you raced the 10K

Thanks for your opinions. I've printed out Hal Higdons half marathon training program for novice 2 runners. Looks like I may make it to 15k!
    Thanks!
