I'm a huge fan of JMBR, but I have 30 more pounds to lose and don't feel like 30 minutes a day is enough to offset my otherwise sedentary desk job. I want to start doing Yoga Meltdown a few mornings a week before work and continuing JMBR in the evenings. Has anyone else combined these two programs? And yes, I'm a Jillian Michaels snob.

  • I do Yoga Meltdown twice a week. It usually coincides with the cardio days, and I end up doing additional cardio 2-3 times per week. It has worked really well so far. (granted, I just started week 3). Hope this helps!

Do you space them out throughout the day, or do them one after another? I tried to get up early this morning but 6 a.m. is about as early as my body can function and that only leaves me enough time to shower, eat, and get ready for work. So I think I will have to do YM at night after (or before?) JMBR. I am not doing any other cardio - too cheap for the gym, waiting to see my orthopedic surgeon about my running shin splints, and there's too much ice and snow here to bike yet. YM seems like the best indoor option right now.

i would do yoga meltdown on cardio days if i were you, you wont be overtraining your muscles and it may even help since its on a weight lifting break day.

I have been doing extra cardio on strength days & have managed to fit this in at least 3 days per week. I have also done Yoga meltdown once so far on a cardio day in addition to Cardio 1. I'm currently at the end of week 3 and plan to incorporate this at least once a week so I'll be doing 4 out of 6 days of split double workouts and the other 2 training days I'll just do my BR workout.
