    This isn't really something to make light of, boys. India has a serious rape culture....did you all just not hear about the girl who was gang raped for hours and died? Not to mention countless other rapes that aren't reported in the media.

    I just had the "do you want to be a real man or a punk" conversation with a kid at school- I think this sort of aligns. Do you want to hassle girls about the size of their boobs, their acne, or their intelligence to make yourself feel like you're worth something, or do you want to be an awesome human being (ie a real man) and be supportive and cool?

    Agreed. Whoever wrote this was trying WK some girl. Probably got him a lot of "ahhh.. so true", but definitely didn't get him laid.

    I'm not sure if there is a "rape culture", but I understand that women are second class citizens in some parts of India (which leads to all sorts of abuse). The part in Hindi would apparently mean: "Do you have any idea whose son I am?".

    This post makes a lot of sense in the Indian context, probably not so much in a Western World context.

    For us, I guess I would change it to: "If you do not respect another human, then you're only half human yourself". I care about my fellow men too after all...

    Maybe I did word it wrong, I did mean more like what you said. Women are second-class citizens so it leads men to be disrespectful towards women, which can perpetuate the idea that it is okay to rape women.

    someone should form the anti rape squad. they could put decoys on dark corners and wait for the perp and when he makes his move then they could get medieval on them.

    or just have the decoy be a trained mma fighter like Gina Carano...but that would be a surprise!

    White Knighting is essentially saying what "men thinks" a woman wants to hear in order to get sex.

    However it comes off as really pathetic and illegitimate.

    It would be like if you spilled coffee somewhere, and then I made a big stink and wiped up the mess with my shirt, and tried to make a big ordeal about me "saving" the fair maiden from her "coffee disaster". (When in reality i dont give a **** I am just trying to impress you)

    That is a terrible example, but anything along those lines. Just something that comes off as very try hard and pathetic.

    Edit: To clarify, in India the "saying" probably is more appropriate. Here in America if someone wrote that, it would just make me facepalm.
