Week 5

ok...jamie must have started smokin' crack when she developed week 5/Phase 2! I was nervous about going into this week. But damn after making it somewhat thru the first 3 exercises, i thought i would surely pass out! I was so spoiled with first four week. I see I am going to have to pace myself. Definitely may have to split up the cardio.

How are my folks in week 5 hangin? who's actually going to do the Donkey Calf Raises? This one really cracks me up!
Anyone doing an alternative to the side-to-side push ups?

    I think I might do the side to side push ups on the smith machine bar!

    I've only done one day, but now you've got me scared! I thought yesterday's back exercises were easy-peasy, but then I was one of five people in my gym, including the manager, so I didn't have to wait for anything. I guess we'll see what tonight's workout brings.

    Back wasn't too bad for me yesterday and chest & abs wasn't bad today. I was able to get through the lifting pretty quick cause there wasn't many people at the gym! I think I need to add some weight to the bench though! And those superset toe touches and crunches OMG! THOSE were killer!

    And I definitely will not be doing the donkey calf raises...so awkward! My old gym had the machine but not this one! :ohwell: I'll be doing the leg press alternatives for calves!

    I just finished legs. I was literally shaking on the last set of calf raises. WTF! Half way thru, I had to cut back to my 60% weight cuz the 85% weight, I might have passed out. I am feeling a way about Jamie right about now. Good thing she wasn't at the gym, we would have mixed words today! LOLOL! Today, I actually needed my recovery drink. It was so damn good!

    I did the donkey calf raises when I got home from the gym. I just couldn't bring myself to do it there even with my husband.

    I didn't feel comfortable doing the step ups on the benches they had at my gym. I'm not that coordinated, and I could see myself falling off.

    No way am I doing donkey kicks lol
    I did the leg press alternative
    Side to side pushups werent too bad but did them on my knees hey I just realized I could do a real push up!!

    Glad there was no cardio today I was late to work :|

    Greetings all, I will be starting week 5 next week and I see that it is a killer. Im kind of discouraged right now because I have lost some weight and have gained some too. I know its probably muscle, but still.... I did this program last year, then fell off right after completing phase 2. I will not be doing donkey calf raises either... looks way weird. I could do it at home with my 8yr old on my back or NOT...

    You'll do awesome! I honestly think that having people here to bounce ideas off of and talk with really helps!
  • I seriously died laughing when watching the donkey calf raises video. Then I had to grab my bf to do a re-inactment. Seems a bit "sexual" for the gym. haha! Plus...I weigh 140 pounds..how the hell am I gonna find some chick around 100 pounds or LESS to jump on my back?? no thanks. Weird. I did leg press calf. Much more fun:)

    Week 5 is kicking my *kitten* only because I'm strapped for time. I go in the gym at 8:00 and it is still packed. Every bench is taken, all the "lower" weights are taken by some high school boys. I've had to really alter the order of the exercises to get a workout donei n less than a hour and a half. I'm in Florida and LA Fitness is buying up every gym there is and then closing them. So everyone who works out at a gym has to workout at the SAME gym. $$$$$ for LA Fitness....but a lotta pissed off people.
