It has been just over a month. How are you liking it? What are you doing with it? Have you lost weight?

I have it set to a 500 cal deficit. Sometimes I am over and sometimes I am under but that is around what I am averaging. I was down 3.4 lbs total, now I am up a couple but it is TOM so I'm not going to get upset yet.

I wish that I was more consistant. Some days I burn a lot more calories than others.

So far I like it a lot! How are you doing?

I have been wearing mine pretty much everyday. I was down 1.5 last week, didn't weight myself because it's my TOM as well. I burn pretty the much the same everyday but I am not consistent with my food. I am setup at 750 deficit, my average the last month was 745 deficit, so that's pretty good. I really like the report function where you can get an average of the last week or month.

I've had mine a few weeks but I'm very up and down. I've just joined the online personal diet plan which is run by Kifit- the Uk BMF.

I'm super happy with it. My activity level varies a great deal from day to day. I feel like my body never knows what to expect- a lazy day or a non-stop one. The BMF helps me tremendously in balancing my eating with my activity.

In the last few weeks I've learned that I need to trust the BMF projections for my activity at the end of the day. I sync with the computer just after dinner and I'm usually close to my target for my deficit, but I often worry that the estimate for the remainder of the day will be off. How does it know if I'm going to couch potato it for the evening or be on the go 'til I hit the pillow? Because I'm worried the estimate will be off, on couch potato days, I end up with a higher deficit at the end of the day. In reality, the estimates are never far off.

I've been wearing it since right after Christmas and love it! My activity varies so much that it helps me stay on track each day. I really like the updates on Activity levels and Steps taken, they motivate me to push more when needed.

For me I think it elects me to do nothing so I'm happy with it. Work out how many cals it predicts and divide that by how many minutes left to midnight to see what calorie burn per minute it's estimating.

I have been wearing mine for three weeks straight. I have had a 500-800 cal deficit almost every day for 3 week (except for one). I weighed this morning and had lost ONE pound in 3 weeks!! Mathematically, I should have lost more! I upped my exercise today and plan to do that more this week but I am bummed out!

I'm going to weigh in again in a few more days when TOM effects should be over. It seemed like I lost 0.8 lbs per week which I was happy with, then I was up a couple of lbs, but probably because of my period. I'm hoping for a 4 lb loss or over since it has been a month since I started (1 lb per week.) I'm also doing "eat more to weigh less" so I do not want to have too much of a deficit.

Are you guys just going day by day and making sure you have a deficit or looking at the whole week? In the last 30 days my lowest burn day was 2288 and my highest burn day was 3594 so I am not consistant day to day. My average was 2915. I have my burn goal set to around 2400 calories and my calorie goal set to 1900 (about a 20% deficit) because I usually burn at least 2400 calories most days so I'm comfortable with those numbers. But, I often let myself eat over the calorie goal depending on if I am hungry and if I got exercise. One day when I exercised I was really ravenous and ate my entire calorie burn but I had huge deficits some of the other days so I think it should balance out. I just wonder if that is bad, but I don't know how to improve my consistancy due to my schedule.

The only things that I don't like about the BMF is that I feel like sometimes I will eat junk food because I can as long as I have a calorie deficit.

Great Job! I was hoping someone would respond who had been very successful to encourage me not to get disappointed that I was up a couple of lbs. Also, I'm glad to hear that you are close to 500-600 calorie deficit and still are successful. I did not want to be tempted to up my deficit. I have the link as well and like to check it at work during the day.

I'm also trying to keep in mind that the BMF is an estimate and may be a little off and also my calorie logging is an estimate unless I weigh and measure everything. I'm trying to get better at doing that so that I can get a better result.

Good luck Ladies! Feel free to keep checking in here. I hope all of us do really well with our Christmas BMF's!

I didn't get one for Christmas - I bought it in January, and put it on the day it came - the 18th. I find it very motivating - it helps me make the choice to take the stairs (more steps and moderate exercise minutes add up) and instead of being a couch potato, I do laps in the living room if I'm watching the tube to meet or exceed my goal. I have a sedentary job, so my step and exercise goals are a challenge, but when I meet them, I kick up my deficit substantially. I have been over 1000 every day.... and I've lost 4 pounds (as of today) since the 18th. It's also moving me to go to bed on time, which is one of my weak spots.

    Good luck!

I have been wearing my bodymedia and have had an average calorie deficit of 650 cals for the past 21 days. I have lost ONE stinkin' pound! I am so frustrated! I am not going to quit. My body is tighter and more toned but I really really want to see the scales move. I understand that muscle weighs more than fat but I also know that muscle burns more fat. After 3 weeks, I really would've thought I would've had better results. Mathematically, it should be showing on the scale!!! any suggestions? Persistence...
