So, Jawbone is liquidating assets. I'm so disappointed that they bought out BodyMedia only to destroy the product and then go out of business.
Just found out about this, currently on kickstarter. Anyone have any info/opinion? Forever trying to replace my beloved Bodymedia!
Hi, So I just found out that Bodymedia was acquired since I haven't used my device in 3+ years. I am back to focusing on Fitness and wanted to re-new by subscription when I stumbled upon this info. :) What are my options? If Bodymedia is defunct, what devices are old users transitioning to? Thanks!
quality control or whatever caused the delay and now they are going to be shipping out.. see how it goes in terms of the subscription that bodymedia used to have.
anyone following up. I"m on day 3 of my fitness and loosing a lot of weight (I may be a freak). I'm using a fare number of activity monitors along with the original bodymedia link. Anyone looking to purchase a UP3? which has all the features of the bodymedia link with the addition of waterproofing and it's a band?
I've had my Bodymedia for about 18 months now. On the whole, I have been disappointed. After tracking carefully and comparing results to what Bodymedia predicts, I have discovered that for me, the device is only about 69% accurate. Most days, it says I burn around 2400 cals a day. Bit my real life results support a TDEE of…
I guess I put too much into the science of temperature metrics but I can share the following. body media, polar loop, garmin vivosmart 2288, 2694, 2657 2839, 2495 , 2531 I think the loop and garmin use a simular algorisum in the accelerometer (I haven't got the polar with a heart strap yet but hope it will refine the…
I've suspected from the first that my BMF is reporting burns that are hundreds too high (it says I burn 2500 most days. I am female, 130 lbs, 47 yo, small framed, short, and at best lightly active most days). I have to show a deficit of at least 1000 calories a day to lose even a fraction of a pound per week. I gain whe I…
Does anyone know how to do this? I input an estimated starting weight but was wrong and would rather be accurate. Thanks.
Can someone who has a BMF Link and uses MFP please plug in their band and then log into MFP and check if the reported burn is correct ? You can do this by clicking on the exercise tab in MFP and then on the blue info dot that follows the words BodyMedia Calorie Adjustment. It should give you reported calorie burn and the…
