I'm new to this board and to EBF. This is my 2nd child, my 1st was EBF for 2 weeks but I gave up because I was having difficulty and didn't have amazing support. This time around, I have been EBF for 6 weeks and hope to hit the 6 month mark, at least. So far I have lost 30lbs since giving birth but I would like to lose at least 30 more to get back to my old pre-kids weight. I'm not sure how to go about losing weight while breastfeeding. Any tips?

hi, add me if you like. i am also EBF but just added food this month as my son is almost 7 months.
i try to keep my cals between 1400 and 1600. my carbs at around 130. i dont lose if i eat alot of carbs. maybe you r different.
i workout every other day at the gym.
my typical diet is a healthy VI shake for breakfast loaded with fruit. (but u can use any kind or just have nice healthy breakfast)
for lunch i have salad with meat or fish the size of my palm.
dinner i have grilled meat the size of my palm with grilled veggies and sometimes i will have about a cup of rice.
for snake i will have another shake during the day.
and i like to have hot coco every so often.
thing is i dont really deprive myself......i did stop the suger.
but if i want a bite i do allow it. i just workout more.
remember u burn around 300-500 breastfeeding and add this in your MFP diet.
good luck. try not to lose more than two pounds a week when breastfeeding0
