How do you do it? Where do you go, what do you get?

I don't eat out as often as I used to. I usually take leftovers from dinner for lunch. But if I do go out to a restaurant, a salad is usually a good choice. Burger or grilled chicken without the bun works in a pinch. I like steak restaurants, there's usually a lot more options there. Pizza, Chinese, or Mexican restaurants have the fewest options.0

Ask about the gluten free options. That should eliminate the wheat right off the bat.
Some places have gluten free info on their websites so if you know where you are going you can plan ahead.
My daughter is a server and where she works she can specify that a certain seat is gluten free and when she enters the order the computer makes sure to remove the gluten and/or add special prep instructions for the food to make it gluten free.0 -
I live in a very small rural town, so eating out options are limited. The restaurant we go to is mexican, so I order fajitas (no peppers as I don't like them - so they give me onions and tomatoes), no tortillas or chips. Basically all I'm eating is meat and veggies - with avocado and pico de gallo.
If I go out of town to eat, I tend to look up the menu beforehand to determine if there's something there I can order. If I already have it in my mind it's easier to order than to have to make a quick decision.0 -
I don't eat out often , but if I do and I know where I am going, I will look up their website, most restaurants have websites with their menu and the nutritional info I find now. That way I can select something paleo and know what to order when i get there. For the most part, its usually protein, steack, chicken or fish, no sauces or gravies , with a side salad or vegetables, usually thats the easiest0
