Activity Level ?

Hi,
Just thought I would check with the em2wl veterans on my activity level. What should I use if....

1. Lightly active job (teacher, so I am usually standing or walking. Maybe sit for a total of two hour at work)
2. Strength training- 60 min./ 3x a week
3. Beginner tap class once a week
4. zumba once a week

Any advice is helpful.

Thanks,
Dana

I would consider that 5-6 hours a week of exercise, or strenous.

For the scooby calculator, would this be moderately active? or something else?

I sit at a desk for 8 hours 5 dyas a week. If I dont exercise, I am considered lightly active because when I go home I dont sit down until I go to bed. I cook dinner, clean, and interact with my family. I also run around and do errands all weekend. I exercise 5 days a week, so I put myself as moderate on Scooby. You may be higher than moderate because you are on your feet all day.

Take their Mod figure with deficit and round up to nearest 100 to keep it safe. Because your work does indeed start you higher.

Well, if the deficit figure is 1590, go to 1700. That kind of roundup.

    Hi,
Thanks for advice. It seems like a lot of calories, but I want to do this right. So here I go....

    Could someone help me too?

My next week looks like this:

    1 x Zumba class
2 x Total Body Conditioning class
    1 x Step class
    1 x yoga class

So that would be lightly active or moderately active? Does the Yoga count as a workout? The same with the total body conditioning class?

    Hrs for activity.

Does a 20 min yoga class equal a 90 min Zumba class? No.

They are each one hour, so the total with the yoga would be 5 hours.

They are each one hour, so the total with the yoga would be 5 hours.

So 4 hrs more intense cardio, 1 hr light workout. So unless your work is beyond sedentary desk job, sounds like you got it.
