Paleo enthusiast/novice needing info/motivation/support

Hi paleo folks,

With my roommate being diagnosed in March 2012 with MS, this is the video that prompted a shift in my thinking about what I should be fueling my body with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLjgBLwH3Wc. A powerful video for sure!!!

I'm sure this has been discussed many times but I need more information on the paleo way.... maybe just shoot me a link to some previous posts? I would also appreciate new friends that I could support and be supported by.

Currently I'm day 27/of a 36 day paleo cleanse/elimination diet. I've lost 44 lbs in the past 11 months and 8 lbs away from my current weight goal. A nuance in my eating is that I don't eat pig or cow, but yes on seafood and poultry.

THANKS!!!!

Hi there! These are my favorite starting places re: Paleo and Prinal eating.

    Books:

Practical Paleo (this one I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend if you can get your hands on it)
    Well Fed

    Sites:

    http://paleoparents.com/
    http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/
    http://www.marksdailyapple.com

I also have a ton of recipe sites I like if you're interested, but those are great for basic info.

Feel free to friend me, I eat 100% paleo (with occasional paleo treats) and I track religiously.

    My favorite sites are :
Marks Daily Apple.com - Mark Sisson, wrote the Primal Blueprint, good read
The Paleo Solution - Robb Wolf, excellent site to learn the science behind it (he's a Chemist....nuff said)
The Whole 30 - Dallas & Melissa Hartwig, wrote It Starts with Food, EXCELLENT book!! Buy two and give one to a friend!! I learned more about how my body deals with what I put into it in the first 100 pages of this book than I ever did. Understandable and practical. The website also has ALL of the information for free on how to progress into paleo. Prepare to be inspired...read Melissas story =)
Check in here often, LOTS of sound sage advise!!!
