Body weight go up like lifting weights?

I've never done circuit training of any kind.
When I've lifted heavy in the past my weight went up about 4-5 pounds in the first few weeks and then leveled off and slowly came down. Very slowly.
Anyone have experience with 30DS or a similar circuit training to know if body weight will go up first with the muscle gain or is it just not the same as lifting heavy?

    When I did this dvd the first time round I gained weight for a week or so this was due to water because my body wasnt used to doing those types of exercises and so held water to repair my muscles but it does come off so please dont panic if you first get a gain :)

    I too feel like I am gaining, I need to drop 30kg I think that is about 60pounds so. Really can't out any on,, but I have will complete it as I fee

    I dont care if my weight goes up as long as Im burning calories and burning fat and losing inches. The number on the scale isnt that important when compared to othwr things.
