I am in... I think I am going to do Hybrid of some sort with TurboFire. (Going on a cruise the first week of February so hoping to see some body fat lost by then!)

I was thinking about the hybrid as well, but I thought I might be pushing it since I haven't done either. I have both.

I am finishing my first round of CLX this week and starting CLX/TF (Janelle's Hybrid) on Dec. 10th. So excited!
  • So I just finished the first Burn workout. And it wasn't that bad at all. I did sweat a bit, but that's due to the high temperature in my bedroom. I used 12pound weights for squats and bench press, and I think I'll go higher next time. For the lunge with core rotation, I used 18lbs. For all the rest I used 11lbs. I will up the weights on everything except for posterior fly, 11lbs i my max at the moment, I might even lower that to 10.

    I did 7 proper push-ups, and 5 girly ones :)

Mt HRM says I lost 350kcal. In any case, I think I did pretty well and am looking forward to Saturday!

I did Burn 1 today. I have to get used to the slower pace of strength training. So far so good. I used between 5-15 pound weights today.

I have to consciously make myself move slowly in the weight training workouts. I definitely feel it when I do it right!

I started CLX on 12/8 so I am right there with you. This will be my first round of CLX but I have previously completed a round of Insanity, a round of Lindsay Brin's 60 Day Slimdown, and three rounds of Supreme 90 Day. First week is almost done and so far so good, just have to make sure I go slowly

So far so good, I like the the 3 burn videos and I thought the burn intervals video was fun!! Looking forward to the Burn It Off and Recharge tomorrow!

I started clx last week; did burn 1 and 2. The slow pace feels weird, but I could really feel it in my biceps and inner thighs a day or two afterward. This week my goal is to follow the schedule and do the workouts everyday - hope to see results for a trip to Mexico in February!

Did my first Burn 1 tonight. Definitely a slower pace after finishing JMBR but good. I think I went too light on my weights but I will figure it out.

Welcome Gatx. Do you have the sheets to record your weights and reps used (if not, google it)? I put a little UP arrow by the sets I felt I could go up on the next time.

It's definitely much slower paced than JMBR, I'm starting to get used to it. =)

Just about to finish up my first month. So far so good. I'm enjoying the program but I feel like I haven't been the best with my diet during holidays so the results this month are not going to be what they should be. I'm still planning on taking pictures and measurements this weekend.

I had to add my own cardio to get much results out of the first month. The second month certainly picks up though! I really liked Push. I am in Lean now and think it's the toughest but so worth it.

So far so good with Push 1. I'm always worried about my form. I stick my butt out as far as I can when doing all the squats but I worry about using my back too much.

I will be starting Push on Sat. I am excited. But I too worry about my squats. No matter how far I do push my butt back I often feel it in my quads not in my hamstrings and butt (which is where I need it the most!)

Heidi - I am right there with you tough about not doing a good job with the diet over the holidays so I am sure my results will be skewed.

Week 2 of Push is going well. I wanted to try increasing weights on a lot the sets but I couldn't do it on very many on Push 2. I feel like I did "push" myself just to do what I did last week. Hopefully next week I can move up 2.5lbs on some of the exercise.

I'm doing cardio before my Push videos because I'm not getting a great HRM detectable burn. I need to have a HR average of greater than 111 in order to get credit from my work program for a "workout".

Yeah my burn is really low on the Push videos except for the leg moves. Those have my heart rate soaring! Just finished all the push videos for the first time and I know I need to increase the weights on lots of the moves. I think I like push 2 the best which is funny since I liked burn 2 the best of that phase :)

I agree about 'missing' the burn. But in New Rules of WL for Women they want you to start to focus on the anerobic benefits and not the aerobic benefits... I am not there yet! I like seeing the higher number burned and then eating those suckers back! ha!

I do not like the single leg lunges/squats. Chalene says to 'frame the leg' with the weights but I feel like i focus on that and lose my form. Like you I feel like I stick my bum really far out... but framing the knee is never comfortable for me, and has caused some sharp pain in my knees. I've been looking at youtube to find some alternatives to holding the weight right next to the knee.

I do need some heavier weights... just trying to find a good bargain!

I found all my original weights through Craigslist. That is the cheapest way to go in my opinion. I feel weird when doing the single leg moves and I am never quite sure if I have it right but then my butt and hamstrings are fatigued and/or sore the next day so I am thrilled with that. Especially considering I am very quad dominant and when I do standard squats and lunges and have a hard to really hitting the butt and backs of my legs as well.

Thanks... I've been checking Craiglist every morning... The chain store sells them for $1/pound but I wanted 15's and 20's. Sears had a sale and I got my 20's for only $30/pair. Now waiting for a bargain on 15's! :) I have 5, 8, 12, and 20. My left elbow is weak so 20's are heavy... hopefully by the end of lean that won't be the case.

I definitely feel the single leg exercises the next day. I really like the bowlers lunge. But on the "frame the leg" exercises, I just feel awkward (trying to keep arms next to leg, other leg back, butt out, back straight, abs in... and then when I do all the weight on the heel, I get a sharp pain in my knee. Its strange. I should just practice it with 5 lbs and then work my way up to 20 and make sure my form is good and no pain.

Those single leg ones are truly killer. I just did Push 1 for the last time this series! I keep pushing that butt out. I'm excited to see what the lean phase has in store for me. It looks like most people's complaints are the compound movements in Lean, but I think I might have an advantage from doing JM Body Revolution since most of the regular workouts are with weight and are combined movements. Is there anyone else out there that can confirm or reject that?

Although my weight keeps fluctuating up and down (in the same range), and I am not losing weight, my abs are looking good and I can definitely see more definition in my arms. I can't wait to take pictures on Sunday and hopefully notice a difference all around. My butt should be looking good after all this isolated heavy lifting unfortunately I have a hard time seeing it in the mirror - the photos will help. Haha.

How exciting that you are almost into the Lean phase Heidi! I can't wait to hear your thoughts. Recovery week this week on my diet so I am taking a week off CLX this week then I start the 3rd week of Push on Saturday. I might have to try Jillian's BR next time around :)

Holy moly, do my arms hurt today after Lean 1. I didn't love the video but if I can hurt like this every week, I'd say the video is doing something right! I'm excited for tomorrow's Lean 2 since it's jennieodwyer's favorite!

I actually haven't gotten to Lean yet. It is Push 2 and Burn 2 that are my favorites. I did extreme abs for the first time time this morning. Yeah that wasn't so fun. And who are these new people in the video? So glad you are feeling it in Lean I can't wait to try it out

I did JMBR and then a round of CLX. Now I'm back to a 2nd round of CLX. I thought the Lean phase last time was challenging but not impossible. I think having done the JMBR program already will prepare you well for the Lean phase!!!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. There are some similarities to JMBR but overall I think I'm finally in the mind set of lifting as heavy as I can (while still having correct form and balancing). In JMBR I just used the weights that I had (the same ones Jillian uses). I think that makes Lean harder for me!

I usually like the 3rd video best so I'm looking forward to tomorrow's workout. I've done Extreme Abs 3 times and every time it kills me. Maybe it's because it's after 46 minutes of Burn Intervals or maybe I just have weak abs!

Just finished push and will be moving on to Lean tomorrow. So excited (yet a bit nervous). I hear this is were the magic happens. Any truth to that from veterans of CLX?

This is me today! ;) Just finished Push and read that thread about Lean... yikes.

My observations this morning as I finished Push... I decided I don't like the boots that much ha! But I looked at the weights I used (I am a bad girl and never write it down... I know I know). But when I started CLX after JMBR I had 5,8,12 pound weights (oh and 3lbs too... but those are dusty now). Since the start of the year I've purchased 15 and 20s. Today I realized I only used my 12, 15 and 20s for Push 3. I used my 8s for the warm up. I wish I could splurge for the SelectTechs but I'll keep my eye out for heavier weights.

One weird thing... my left elbow is not as strong. Its doublejointed? Something is goofy about it. And i strain it often. The 20s are the max (right now) that do not bother it but I have to be mindful of it.

On to Lean! I really really want to be Lean :)
