did 1 bad day really do this much damage??

Hi I was just wondering if someone could help me. I'll start off by letting you know a little about what i am doing. I'm 5'2" and currently weigh 138.6. I sit down at work most of the day but I try to get up every hour and take a little walk around for a few minutes. Plus I walk on my 20 minute break and my 30 minute lunch everyday.. Once I'm out of work I try to stay on my feet for as long as possible to make up for sitting down most of my day. Currently doing insanity program.

.Back in the beginning of August, I started Insanity and by November 30th I had lost 13 pounds.( i was doing 1600 calories Month 1 and 1700 calories month 2. cheat meal once a week or every other week) .. I went on an all inclusive vacation on the 30th of November and really really went off track from my vacation up until 11 days ago. I went from 126.5 to 139. I started Insanity again 11 days ago doing 1600 calories on workout days and 1300-1400 on my rest day and stretch day. I dropped from 139 to 135.0 in 8 days. Then came Superbowl Sunday. Went to a party and i just ate and ate and ate. nothing but sweets and really fattening foods.I must have ended my day with 3500 calories.possibly 4000.nothing but junk food. I stepped on the scale today figuring its been 3 days so my weight shouldnt any higher than 135. well this morning it was 136.8. could that 1 day really have messed me up that bad? Im trying to get down to 120 by June 22nd. My goal is to be at 134.8 by this saturday. but now I don't see how thats going to happen. I was only .2 lbs away as of sunday morning and now i'm a whole 2 pounds away.

Also do you think my calorie intake for what i'm doing is okay in order to drop down to 120 by june 22nd? I eat pretty good. I dont eat many refined sugars. less than 10 grams a day for sure. Any sugar I have is usually pure maple syrup or raw honey.use stevia if im having a sugar substitute. I don't eat that much bread. If I do its whole wheat and no more than 1 serving of bread a day. I also eat 100-115 grams of protein a day. I always eat a different dinner (its always something healthy) . Other foods i eat during the week are things like plain oatmeal with all natural peanut butter and fruit, protein shakes, quest bars, egg white omelets with salsa and veggies, plain turkey burgers no bread with hummus and brussel sprouts, whole wheat english muffins w peanut butter, smoothies made with spinach and protein powder or spinach and fruit, greek yogurt, kashi whole wheat puffs with unsweetened almond milk....

any help would be appreciated

I'd bet that a good portion of weight gain that quick is water. More than likely you had a lot of Sodium during the Super
Bowl festivities and that equals gain in water weight. The good news is if you watch your sodium and add in a lot of water to help flush it out, you should be back to normal soon. Also keep in mind it takes an excess of 3500 calories on top of your normal intake to equal one pound of gain, so it is very unlikely this is a true gain. These are things I need to remind myself of regularly. Hang in there. Good luck.

My main piece of advice to you is to step away from the scale. Constantly checking your weight does nothing but play mind games. Weight naturally fluctuates. OK so you ate a lot more than usual on Superbowl Sunday. It's not surprising your scale weight increased but this does not represent an increase in body fat. The weight will likely be a combination of undigested food still in your body and water weight (especially if you ate higher soduim foods). Give it a couple of days and scale weight will settle back down again.

You're over thinking this. Just keep doing what you're doing and try not to weigh yourself so often.
