I forgot where I got the link above. I think from my friends list on here. Is it good information?
I noticed there were two hypertrophy types. What is the difference? And which is best when you're looking to add muscle?
Since I'm on a deficit right now, trying to lose 8 more lbs I do 3 reps, 8-10 sets, for strength since I can't build muscle. Is this ok? I've been doing it a month.

            Basically:
 myofibrilla hypertrophy = strength gain
 sarcoplasmic hypertrophy = size gain
From a quick look - there are some things that are a bit off re rep ranges imo.
8 - 10 is hypertrophy range not strength range.
This explains it all a bit more: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/850719-strength-training-the-basics0
