Weekend!!

It's Friday afternoon. there's two feet of snow outside, but the sun is shining... I'm going to get out of here shortly and start my weekend, I'm going to go home, change, go to gym and rack up some serious calories to drink back. Then I'm going down to the local pub and have some empty calories, listen to some live music, and visit with good friends. (Probably will do the same thing tomorrow night too.) Life is good! :-)
What are you all up to this weekend?

gym/running tomorrow morning, then probably sipping on something awesome around the grill. I've got a boston butt that needs to have some smoke added to it.
Cheers pal.0 -
Swim and weight training tonight. Probably no beer (shudder), since I'm not going to be back home till 9:30. I don't like to start drinking that late.
Dentist appt. saturday morning, sledding in the afternoon. Making soem chili on Sunday. And yes, there's beer in it!0 -
I picked up a Rye on Rye for my Walking Dead beer (always have to pick out a good beer for Walking Dead night).
Planning to do a 10 mile run Sunday morning so I'll have plenty of beer calories.
Bench Press tomorrow morning and then my 9 year old has a basketball game in the afternoon.
For tonight my bride wants Greek food from a place that just started delivering. I have a tough decision to make as to which beer(s) to drink tonight. I didn't drink the Victory at Sea that I picked up last Friday so that may be a good choice as it's been sitting in the kitchen fridge all week. I also picked up a Black Bear Stout yesterday that may make the cut tonight. I got a couple of 4s of Immort Ale today too so one of those will likely be consumed this weekend. Who knows, man. The world works in mysterious ways.0 -
Ooohh Grill. Mine is buried under a ton of snow right now. Sounds yummy.
Dentist... Not a fan, but do love me some chili.
Oh crap! I forgot about Walking Dead starting back up. That's definitely where I will be Sunday evening. Love that show!
I do have things to do tomorrow (Honey do list, and I promised the youngins I'd take them sledding) but the evenings are mug club time. ;-)
Here's what's up on the board at my pub tonight: http://oddsideales.com/whatsontap.php Hoping for maybe a couple surprises too!
Cheers!0 -
Berry Tea Blonde looks intriguing. I have no idea what that would be like.0

I haven't tried that one yet... My usual beer down there is the CPA. A hoppy pale ale with Citra hops. Very delicious. (He's done a batch or two of that on bourbon barrels too)
I have had the Bean Flicker Blonde (In fact I named that one. Thank you very much) and that one is surprisingly good. The coffee flavor is unexpected but very enjoyable. He's going to be bottling soon and I told that one would do well. (Not to mention the fun we could have designing the label. LOL)0 -
Mayan Mocha Stout would be my choice. Sounds like it wouldn't suck.0

They Mayan Mocha is one of their best sellers. It will go like crazy at the Winter beer fest, in a couple weeks. They also have a Peanut Butter Cup Stout that people drive long distances for. The Mayan Mocha has Habanero in it. Just a little bit of heat on the tail end. It's really good!0

I need to get my hands on that PB Cup stout!
I, myself, am off today for the next week (Mardi Gras vacation... I love being a teacher in south Louisiana). I would LOVE to break my brewing hiatus during this time, so I guess a trip to the local homebrew shop is in order.
Went to the grocery to buy steaks for dinner tonight, and picked up a bunch of random brews.0 -
I am so ready for the weekend. Tonight I made cheeseburgers for the family. Calorie count on the monstrous burger (5 oz. patty but lots of veggies) tops at just over 370 calories. Which means I've saved room for beer. Yay!!
Tonight, the brew of choice is Highland Gaelic ale. It's a bitter-sweet joy to drink really cold.
Tomorrow the hubs and I have decided to have a lunch date, just us without the kids and go sit somewhere and share a bottle of wine. I'm really looking forward to it. Other than that, we have no plans and I think we'll probably spend Sunday just lulling with the kiddos.0 -

I, for one, am excited to see a local brew making it that far south. Highland has a few real winners. Their gaelic is no exception.0 -
10 miles this morning with the running group and then a plain ol' Guinness Extra Stout this evening.0

Glad I'm not the only one who does cardio to make room for beer.
Did some serious work at the gym last night, then made up for it by doing some serious work on some Oskar Blues Deviant Dales.0 -
It's ending up a pretty busy weekend. Went to the gym last night and this morning, shooting a wedding tonight, gym tomorrow, bell ringing, then lunch with a friend, attending a friend's evensong, then off to the museum after hours to photograph the Faberge exhibit. Should be lots of fun!0

I wish Sweetwater would make it this far south. I could go for a 420 now. Tonight, it is Ruthless Rye. West Coasting it.0 -
