Life after C25K

I just did one of the NHS post C25K podcasts (speed) on the treadmill and it was phenomenal. Running to a beat and having somebody talk me through it was just what I need to keep me motivated through the run.
Well, that and the fact that I'm really RUNNING and not shuffling through a jog the way I did when I first started.

Thanks for this reminder. When I finished C25k I downloaded the other podcasts (NHS) but then went off and did my own thing. Think I'm going to take another look at these and try them0

I'm re-running c25k to see if I can beat my old times. There's a 10k expansion program, but really, I feel like I've learned enough to just get out running program free.0

^I like the idea of almost running it like interval training. You should be able to really spring through those first few weeks at much faster speeds than the first time through which should really increase cardiovascular fitness and race times.
I plan on trying to run a 5k once per month to keep myself on the wagon.0 -
I got the Endomondo app so I could program in a halfway point, etc. but, yeah, for outside days all I *really* need is my shoes.
For inside, running to a beat and having a coach talk to you about running made the treadmill so much more engaging. The NHS podcasts are free too.
