  • I started back w/my boxing classes at TitleBoxing yesterday.

    swimming
    cardio max (which is a dvd and its great) It burns up to 400cal per 40min~
    dancing
    walking
    spinning

    HATE:
    Running (it really hurts my knees)
    treadmill (its ok but I want to know i'm walking somewhere; lol)
  • Zumba on Wii...I like to do it when it's dark outside..I turn all the lights off and turn the tv up!

    I wish I knew how much I burned with these. Iv never really paid any attention...Just went off how I felt after the workout.

    I walk with audio book,
    ride bike
    like swimming but no pool.:cry:

    I don't like anything upbeat & jumping around like Tae Box, running. (which my husband says is my problem I need to get heart rate up. lol

    Loves:
    ellipitical (various programs) generally 45-60 minutes burns 500-750 calories
    swimming (great for the arms and stomach) 50-60 minutes 600-700 calories
    Bike riding during the spring and summer
    Circuit training
    Walking and Hiking

    Dislikes:
    treadmill unless there is a good show on, then it is not so bad
    stationary bike
    Group classes

  • ummmm i'm gonna be completely honest. i don't really like to exercise at all.

    I am learning to like walking, and some strength exercises. I haven't added weights, just using my own body weight.
    I am hoping to build up to running, I did like that when I was a kid and over 100 lbs lighter.
    And I may be biting off more than I can chew so to speak, but I picked up the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred this weekend and am going to start it tonight after work.

    I used to hate exercising because I was alone. I do much better when I am there with a buddy. Now with a better outlook and motivation, I really enjoy exercising. I like feeling the "high" afterwards; I am a much happier person with regular workouts.

    -Rollerblading
    -Piloxing
    -Arm workouts with weights
    -Spin classes
    -Walking

    Hate:
    -Running/jogging
    -Ab exercises (but I do them anyway)

    I want to try Zumba, Body Pump, and barre/pilates classes. I am so grateful our gym has a tv on every cardio machine.

    Hi I'm new here! I seem to be more focused when I have challenges and a buddy to work with.

    Love:
    -Elliptical
    -Workouts with weights
    -Ab exercises
    -Walking / Jogging
    -Swimming

    Hate:
    -Running
    -Video workouts of any kind - (but it is because it takes me too long to figure out the exercise - I would rather just do my own to music

    I have an elliptical machine, small weights, exercise ball - and I know what exercises I need to do and how often to do them, my problem is - no motivation (lazy)... I have to overcome that so that I can get back on track. I had lost almost 30 pounds (Aug 12 - Dec 12) then added about 10 back.

    Want to be at 135 pounds by May 1!

    Rowing Machine - unsure why. Its been a few years so I might give it a go next time in the gym.

    ummmm i'm gonna be completely honest. i don't really like to exercise at all.

    I TOTALLY understand this! I have hated exercising all my life. A couple of doctors have told me in the last year that I needed to start exercising and I told them that I just can't stand it because I absolutely abhor sweating!!!! One suggested swimming, which is one of my very favorite things to do in the summer. I started with that and have eased into other things since then.

    I agree with others who have posted here that having a goal and buddies to work out with makes it a LOT easier. I'm very grateful to have MFP and the support of friends on here and at home. I know that's why I'm FINALLY experiencing success with weight loss.
