Help...

Ok here I am, I hear on other boards this is the place to be for health and fitness and great help. I've really just been cutting calories, not really paying a whole lot of attention to where those calories come from and for the past few days not really caring at all. There are so many different opinions out there I seem to just get frustrated and run for the vending machine.

I live a pretty sedentary life, work a desk job. I don't have a gym membership but that is something I intend to change in the the next few weeks. I'm extremely overweight at about 329. I'm 5'7" 31 years old and really ready to make a drastic change to my lifestyle in order to be more healthy. I like the idea of making this fit into my current lifestyle but obviously that hasn't been working so maybe I need to take a more militant approach and just make some big changes.

I know I'm probably way in over my head but I might as well start somewhere I suppose.
